Since October 1, 2018, the newly founded SAP consultancy io-DigitalSolutions GmbH has been offering comprehensive solutions for optimising and digitising supply and value chains. The company originates from the SAP and IT division of io-consultants GmbH & Co KG and the SAP consultancy ParCon Consulting GmbH, founded in 1997.
All SAP and IT activities have now been bundled into a single enterprise. The objective is to generate new potential and added value for customers through the intelligent integration of the distinctive logistics process expertise of the consulting and planning company io-consultants with the SAP and digitisation expertise of ParCon Consulting.
SAP consulting and services will be continued under a common brand and corporate umbrella with around 60 employees. Services offered will include SAP application consulting, intelligent SAP add-ons for optimising transport and warehouse processes, and SAP solutions such as SAP EWM. The headquarters for io-DigitalSolutions will be in Heidelberg; legacy ParCon offices in Leonberg and Berlin will be retained and are currently being expanded. As an SAP Silver Partner, and recognised with the “SAP Recognized Expertise in Supply Chain Management” certification, io-DigitalSolutions already has more than 20 years of experience in implementing supply chain projects.
As a result of the seamless continuation of ParCon Consulting’s core competencies, io-DigitalSolutions has comprehensive expertise in the digitisation of warehouse and transport logistics based on SAP. Under the leadership of the managing directors Thomas Kilimann, Marco Lederle and Jörg Zölzer, intelligent and sustainable concepts, alongside SAP solutions, will continue to be implemented in the future.
"Using our solutions and services, we are able to help our customers to optimise their supply chain processes and support them along the way to digitising their businesses”, says ParCon Consulting founder Jörg Zölzer, describing the strategic orientation of the newly founded consulting firm. “The digitisation of supply and value chains in particular offers many opportunities that we are successfully harnessing together with our customers,” continues Zölzer.
The combination of io-consultants’ logistics competence with SAP and digitisation know-how creates many advantages for customers. “With more than 60 years’ experience in planning and implementing industrial projects, we have comprehensive process know-how along the entire supply and value chain. We also apply this know-how to SAP and IT projects at io-DigitalSolutions,” says Thomas Kilimann, Managing Director of both io-consultants and io-DigitalSolutions, describing the added value.
Especially against the background of the rapidly-changing technological possibilities for the digitisation of companies, it is important to master both processes and technologies to an equal degree. “We have already been dealing with technologies such as the SAP Cloud Platform, SAP S/4HANA, Digital Twins or Virtual and Augmented Reality for quite some time. This enables us to offer our customers tailor-made solutions along the entire supply and value chain,” notes Marco Lederle.
And Jörg Zölzer adds: “At io-DigitalSolutions, we are working intently on topics relating to the future of logistics. Our customers benefit considerably from this bridge to our existing service portfolio. This is how we shape the digital future of our customers”.
