Added Value for Customers: io Integrates agiplan Consulting

Pooling knowledge to deliver it in a concentrated form: That has been io’s recipe for success—ever since its founding in 1958. The latest milestone in the Heidelberg-based company’s development is the expansion of its service portfolio to include the Industrial Consulting division. This summer, this segment was transferred to io from its market competitor agiplan, based in Mühlheim an der Ruhr.

Through this integration, io is taking its capabilities, expertise, and experience in the areas of supply chain, factory, and logistics planning to new heights. “The integration of agiplan’s Industrial Consulting strengthens our consulting teams. For clients and projects, this step means a broader consulting and service base that will be available for the future. We are delighted about this next step in our expansion and warmly welcome all clients and new colleagues to io,” says Thomas Kilimann, Chairman of the Management Board at io.

Added Value for Everyone

Kilimann is certain that the merger will create tangible added value. All clients will benefit, as both existing io clients and new clients who previously worked with agiplan can now count on the expanded team of experts. Importantly, all ongoing projects previously managed by agiplan will be taken over by io as part of the integration. This also means that all existing agiplan customers can continue to rely on their trusted contacts as usual. There will be no changes to responsibilities. Continuity is ensured in all projects and customer relationships—and will continue to be maintained in the future.

Continuity and a Broader Range of Services

For agiplan customers, this development also brings significant advantages that go beyond the usual scope: They benefit from an expanded range of services that only io can offer.

It covers the fields of architecture and building services engineering, as well as digitalization, IT, SAP, and cloud solutions—all from a single source and under one roof, tailored to the specific needs of each project. This expansion of our service offerings allows customers to derive even greater value from their collaboration with io. A wide range of consulting services is available for every task and every project, from which the customer can choose.

New Düsseldorf Location

As part of the acquisition, io will also establish another office, which is set to open soon in Düsseldorf. This brings the total number of io-group locations to eight in Germany and five internationally.
Well-positioned: io offers a wide range of consulting services for every task.
