Together with Siemens Healthineers managers, io developed a concept document on how Shopfloor Systems with SAP Plant Connectivity (PCo) can be integrated into SAP Manufacturing Execution (ME). To this purpose, io examined specific measures for further improvements. The resulting concept is intended to serve as a blueprint for the future procedure for machine connectivity and integration.
To develop the target document, a number of workshops were held with different business areas in which various approaches were examined in order to collect and document experience from lighthouse projects and to derive both business issues and use cases from them. One example of such a use case is the approach for collecting data to ensure quality for data analysis.
Various results were derived from the analyses:
The Blueprint is intended to enable Siemens Healthineers to drive forward further machine integration across all business units in a standardized and harmonized manner. The comprehensive collection of recommendations and best practices contains both technical and organizational suggestions, such as responsibilities and workflows as well as background knowledge. For example, approaches for ensuring the flow of information are presented in order to promote exchange within a community of experts.
