Siedle is one of Europe’s leading manufacturers of door intercom systems and building communication technology. The family-owned company was founded in Furtwangen in the Black Forest, where it has remained based ever since—since 1750. 

In 2017, Siedle decided to modernize its warehouse processes. The company wanted to transition its production to order-based fulfillment—and to achieve this, Siedle brought io on board. io’s solution: more warehouse space through flexible processes. Without major structural changes, space utilization was optimized and the high-bay warehouse was relieved—thanks to a seamless AutoStore-based pick-and-pack concept. The space gained now enables order consolidation for deliveries to production. In addition, a material flow computer for the high-bay warehouse, integrated into SAP WM, reduces the number of interfaces. io supported the project from the very beginning—from conception through to acceptance.
