Sustainability: Our Shared Goal

We designed a sustainable new production facility for the medical technology company Erbe and oversaw its implementation. It is one of the very first industrial buildings to meet the KfW Standard 40 Plus, which until now had been intended solely for residential buildings.

You’ve invested a great deal in the new center of excellence. What inspired you to do so?

When designing our new company building in Rangendingen, we faced the challenge of combining three key aspects into a single building: environmental sustainability, economic sustainability, and social sustainability. All of these aspects are now incorporated into this building.

What benefits or efficiency gains do you expect from your investment in Rangendingen and Germany as a production location, looking toward the future?

When constructing the building, it was important to us to use high-quality materials that exude quality, but also comfort and warmth. After all, our employees should feel at home here—which also carries over to production. This is, of course, very important to us, especially when we think about the future. The fact that we’re establishing such a strong presence here—so that we can continue to develop, manufacture, and ship our products to the world from this location in the future—is a testament to our commitment to Germany as a business hub.
