Logiklick brings together the major logistics players in the market on a single platform, complemented by innovative newcomers.
FC: I’d say: Customers entrust us with their projects because we’re regarded as experts and are competent partners for any logistics project. We know the logistics systems on the market, keep an eye on trends, and therefore develop the best solutions for our customers. Logiklick.io simply complements our service even further.
DW: The idea behind Logiklick was to give the logistics market something that didn’t exist before: a transparent and objective platform where those interested in logistics and planners can learn about the variety of logistics systems available. Our mission and goal align with the motto formulated this spring during the 50th anniversary of the German Logistics Association (BVL): “Strong Together into the Future!” After all, everyone benefits from the sharing of knowledge. Additionally, there is an exchange of ideas with suppliers and manufacturers. Our logistics experts deepen their system expertise and can advise our customers even better. The platform is objective and transparent—a win-win situation for everyone. What more could you ask for?
FC: Logiklick brings together the key logistics players in the market on a single platform, complemented by innovative newcomers. By dividing the logistics processes into warehousing, order picking, transportation, and packaging, we also enable a process-oriented perspective. In general, it was very important to us to answer the fundamental questions logistics planners have. What is the system’s throughput? What are its dimensions? Is it compatible with the existing system landscape? Are the weight requirements met? Is it scalable? This information can also be found on Logiklick. I recommend always starting at a high-level view first—which the step-by-step configurator makes easy to do.
DW: We developed standardized questionnaires and coordinated with the suppliers and manufacturers over the course of several meetings. They also provided us with the necessary information and data—and ultimately approved it.
DW: Robotics and AI, in particular, are experiencing strong growth. This was also evident at this year’s LogiMAT. Especially in existing real estate—that is, in the context of brownfield projects—these system solutions can usually be implemented quickly and can be a game-changer—or a solution to the shortage of skilled workers. On Logiklick.io, you can check out Quicktron’s systems or Bito’s AGV solutions. Of course, there’s even more to discover. My recommendation: Click through!
FC: We took a process-based approach to the overview. That’s why we identified the four main processes mentioned earlier, which we believe drive the logistics industry. These processes already cover a large part of intralogistics. Building on this process-based perspective, we then clustered the respective manufacturers and suppliers from our databases and subsequently contacted them. In our discussions with the suppliers and manufacturers, we then identified the systems that are now featured on Logiklick. More are being added all the time. After all, our discussions with manufacturers and suppliers are ongoing.
DW: The information provided is regularly updated by the manufacturers and suppliers. We have an agreement in place requiring them to notify us of any changes. It is in both parties’ interest to ensure that the information is always up to date. After all, Logiklick is not only an information platform but also an opportunity to showcase one’s business on the market. This ensures a constant exchange of information within the framework of our projects.
DW: We use a tool in the background to enter the data. It checks the data for database compliance and retrieves it using standardized methods. This allows the data to be captured and used in a structured manner.
FC: So far, we’ve only received positive feedback. Everyone we’ve presented the idea to thinks it’s great—including the website. That said, there are still ideas for further developing the website. Of course, we’re happy to hear them, and in fact, we’re already planning a 2.0 release.
