Kärcher currently holds 650 active patents. Its latest development: the KIRA B 50 cleaning robot. Whether in the transportation industry, retail, healthcare, or public buildings, this cleaning robot is just as well-suited for use in medium- and large-sized areas as it is for navigating tight spaces. With a working width of 55 cm, a maximum operating speed of 3.6 km/h, and a powerful 160 Ah lithium-ion battery, this compact scrub-and-vacuum robot achieves a cleaning area of up to 2,000 m²/h in autonomous mode. This significantly reduces the workload that cleaning staff have previously faced due to time-consuming floor cleaning—freeing up time for other, more complex tasks. Illustrations and clear instructions help users create and adjust routes via the large touchscreen display, as well as start autonomous cleaning or switch to manual mode as needed. Thanks to 360° environmental detection via laser scanners, 3D sensors, and ultrasonic sensors, the Kärcher cleaning robot safely detects people. Obstacles extending beyond the machine’s width and height are also reliably detected and navigated around. The optionally available docking station provides even greater autonomy. There, the KIRA B 50 automatically fills the fresh water tank, empties and rinses the dirty water tank, and charges the battery.
