The new legislative package strengthens Germany as a business location through tax measures such as accelerated depreciation, which is intended to encourage investment. For certain electric vehicles, 75 percent can be depreciated in the first year, regardless of the date of purchase. Other planned measures include, among other things, improvements to the commuter allowance, tax relief for overtime, volunteer work, and the restaurant industry; however, these are still subject to funding approval. The goal is to facilitate investment and create tax incentives.
